Most of my career has been spent at digital and creative agencies, until two years ago when I got the opportunity to work for LEGO® Group at their headquarters in Denmark. While at LEGO my primary focus has been on Global Campaigns for NEXO KNIGHTS™ and NINJAGO®. I quickly built a reputation and found myself working on other projects including LEGO brand, LEGO City, LEGO classic, Duplo, BrickHeadz, Technic, and a number of innovation sprints. I have also seen many of my designs influencing other digital teams at LEGO.
I graduated from Charles Sturt University with a BA Graphic Design / BA Multimedia Double Degree. In the 10 years since, I have progressed rapidly through my career becoming an expert designer, storyteller and creative thinker. While I am a digital native, I have accumulated a broad range of experience across an eclectic mix of projects. From websites, social media, apps, games, digital campaigns and content creation to outdoor activation's, print ads, photo-shoots, video production and TVCs. I’ve worked for some of Australia’s highest profile clients including, CommBank, Lion, Telstra and ANZ. As well as a handful of internationals including Coca-Cola Company, Diageo, Cartoon Network and Lexus.
I have had 5 years of experience as a creative lead on a number of brands, directing project teams of designers and copywriters. I’ve given countless presentations to clients and fellow creatives and after close collaboration have a solid understanding of other disciplines such as strategy, UX and development. I’ve also collaborated with external project partners including; other creative agencies on Lexus and Lion, game developers on Water Worx, photographers with Bulleit Bourbon and Gelatissimo, and video and post-production with Lion, KTAS and ATECO. These relationships have afforded me the skills to efficiently and effectively communicate ideas, direction and feedback and the humility to see and nurture a great idea when it is not my own.
At The White Agency I was one of the few Art Directors that was called upon to help pitch for new business, playing a prominent role in winning the Lion pitch. I was part of every pitch we made at Drifter helping them win Diageo’s Bulleit Bourbon and Rochdale Cider, Harlequin publishing, Kmart Tyre and Auto Service, and many one-off projects that led to more work.
I have great confidence in my creative thinking and craft. Knowing there will always be room for improvement, I readily accept critique and direction. Leading teams has also required giving critical feedback on creative output, and guidance in professional development. I believe in trust, authenticity and keeping an open dialogue in maintaining a positive and motivated team.
